Picket check-in and briefings will be held at 0900 EST. The informational picket will be held from 1000 – 1300 EST. Children, family members, friends, and other supporters are welcome to attend, too!

Once you have RSVP’d you will be provided base-specific information about designated meeting places and local contacts. The exact locations for the pre-brief will be announced soon.

Never before in the history of Southwest Airlines have Flight Attendants’ working conditions deteriorated so rapidly, crippling our quality of life, devaluing our role, and creating a loss of spirit.

On Tuesday, September 27, in Southwest Airlines bases all across the country, Southwest Flight Attendants will take a stand by conducting an informational picket. Let’s send a message to Southwest Airlines. It is time for Southwest Airlines to Make It Right!

Parking: People are encouraged to park as normal and take the shuttle to the airport. Walk south on Cicero Ave from the terminal. Hourly Parking (behind the terminal - Level 1) will also be a good option. Parking on “K” Street is zoned and not encouraged.

Arriving by train: Walk from the Orange Line MDW Station west on 59th Street and meet at the corner of 59th and Cicero Avenue

If not, from the Airport take the Fine Airport shuttle to Fine Parking lot and walk to the Doubletree from there. (We do not want to fill up the Doubletree Hotel Parking lot with vehicles.)

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Out of an abundance of caution and in line with local emergency response, TWU Local 556 has decided to suspend the Orlando picket originally scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 27.

While the picket will proceed in ten (10) other cities across the country, with thousands of Flight Attendants demanding change from Southwest Airlines, our teams on the ground in Orlando will maintain their safety and will follow directions from local authorities.
